Watching the TV ads for pet adoption always makes us sad. Those sad eyes, the helpless expressions on the faces of the animals, the hopelessness that seem to surround them as the tag lines of their stories flash on the screen. How can some people be so cruel to animals?

BUT there is HOPE. The great news is that there are also thousands of people who are dedicated to helping these animals that have suffered cruelty. You and I can become a part of this effort.
